My sister also became a huge fan of canned food! Together, we made salsa and a spread of Vincent Choco-banana.
For the salsa, I walked like an obsessed on the Market by requiring all producers: "Do you have tomatoes? Do you have tomatoes?" Unfortunately, they were all behind in their season and I bought some regular tomatoes (you knew I would have taken those of the garden!). Our salsa is slightly more fluid than expected, but hey, who cares? Note also the large amount of peppers that we have ... Do not give babies or sensitive palates o) But I, I love this salsa.

Regarding jam choco-banana, this is another recipe from Christine Ferber. We have taken on this site , but many other have posted. The texture is great. The site does not mention anything about sterilization, But we have applied the same treatment as other jams: 10 minutes in boiling water. 
The gourmet gifts are completed for my sister. But it is easy: it starts in a week for four months. Me, I have to live with all these goodies at home ... How am I supposed to do to resist? ; OP Alexie, I will miss you: o)
